The Houston Texans have donated $25k to the YMCA of Greater Houston so that youth players can receive a full scholarship to play flag at the YMCA as well as providing necessary resources for the teams such as coaches, snacks and transportation (Houston Texans Public Relations).

Last weekend, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosted the Girls Flag Football Preseason Classic  which saw 1,200 players from around the world, making it the largest female flag football tournament in the world (NBC Sports).

Midland University women’s flag football team made history with their first win over Xavier University and Milligan University, posting shut outs in both contests, with scores of 56-0 and 54-0 respectively (Fremont Tribune).
