Coach K (also known as Kern Egan) is a former Cary-Grove (IL) High School football player and was named to the Fox Valley All-Conference Team (1990) and was inducted into the C-G Ring of Honor.
In his day job he serves as President, Consulting for SPORTFIVE, an international sports marketing and management agency.
Coach K's passion is flag football. He started coaching in the fall of 2019, taking the reins of his son’s 2nd-grade team, the Lakewood Bears. When beginning his research in the spring of 2019, he found a wealth of great coaching, training, and practicing content available online, but as a parent your research time is precious and he spent too much of it going down rabbit holes. Climb The Mountain is about making it easier for coaches and parents to find tools and tips to help them best (and quickest).
